
Chris Martin
Pastor
Pastor Chris and his wife, Milena Martin, arrived in Salisbury, MD in June of 2011. Chris grew up in California and Milena grew up in Texas. Before arriving in Salisbury to become the pastor of God's Gathering Place (formerly Sonlife Community Church), the Martins served as Family Pastor for several congregations in California. Pastor Chris earned his bachelor's degree from Wesley College in Florence, MS in 1996 and his Master's degree in Ministry in 2020 from International Seminary. He is an ordained minister with the Church of God. Chris and Milena have been married since 2003 and have four children: Karina, Juliana, Maiya and Ryan.

Rhonda Lenehan
Worship Co-leader
Rhonda grew up in small town America in rural Indiana. She came to join the church family in 2000, seeking to renew her relationship with Jesus and find a community and friends who shared her faith. Co-leading worship uses her gifts of music and service, and keeps her humbled at God's throne. Rhonda is married to Tom and they have one daughter, Katherine.

Sally Choquette
Worship Co-leader
A resident of Salisbury for 27 years, she has served at the church for the last 15 years. Her passion is to get others excited about the Word of God, and to personally experience a greater intimacy with Jesus resulting in a transformed and abundant life. She loves her church family, cooking, walking, spending time with her mom, her dog Lily, and her son Joey, and most of all, Jesus!

Bill Duck
Guitarist
A teacher at Mardela since fall of 2016. Bill started in Wicomico County at Wicomico High School, in 1994. Teaching various subjects from Ancient Civilizations to Social Studies and English for 9,10 & 11th grades. Bill was the Wi-Hi Teacher of the year for 2015-16 and Wicomico County High School Finalist for Teacher of the Year for 2016-17. And I was Mardela's Teacher of the Month for April 2017 and November 2019. Thanks, Warriors! Bill graduated from the College of Journalism of the University of Maryland (Fear the Turtle!), earned credits at the University of Maryland - Eastern Shore (#HawkPride) to be accredited as a teacher, and earned a Master's degree in Education from Salisbury University (Go Gulls!). I have two kids - a daughter who's a grad student at The Ohio State University and a son who's attending UMBC. I am an assistant wrestling coach here at MMHS and head coach for Mardela's Middle School softball team and a volunteer assistant for the JV Softball team. I also edit the school's website, the twitter feeds for sports at Mardela (@MardelaSports) and the main MMHS Twitter account (@wcboemmhs) and serve as an admin on the school's Facebook page. I'm a proud member of NEA, MSEA and WCEA.

David Burkhart

Hi! My name is David Burkhart - I'm a volunteer sound tech, video tech and worship vocalist at GGP. I work as an aircraft technician and Quality Control inspector. I grew up in Costa Rica and Mexico with a missionary family. I am ready and able to serve as the Lord gives me strength, wisdom and ability. I give glory to God because he imparts His grace, mercy and loving-kindness again and again each and every day.
